Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner (ACNP or FNP) 7 on /7 off (7pm-7am)—Southern Colorado / Del Norte, CO (Base Salary $120,000-$130,000+ Depending Upon Experience)—Locums or Locums to Permanent.
We are seeking a Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner to work as part of the hospitalist team for a facility in New Mexico, convenient to Del Norte, CO. This position can be structured as a Locums or Permanent position. Locums Contract Assignment would pay $700 per day plus housing and travel expenses.

Job Description:
Inpatient hospitalist will be responsible for admitting until discharge general inpatient medical patients. 6 bed ICU/Step-down unit with 3 ventilator capability. Day Hospitalist expected to round, admit, discharge. Night Hospitalist x- cover floor calls, codes, ICU, and new admissions. The Provider needs to be independent and have excellent critical thinking for conditions that would otherwise be consulted to specialty services at a tertiary center. MD support available for consults.
Average Daily Census: Summer: 15-17 Winter: 18-25
Co-management: Currently Hospitalist service will admit the majority of Orthopedic patients via ER
Procedures: Ventilator management and critical care mainly sepsis/shock. Procedures are welcome but not necessary as ancillary services can be utilized for procedures.
Conditions not managed: Dialysis patients, active GI bleeding requiring acute intervention such as esophageal varices/banding, ST elevation MI or those requiring immediate catheterization, thrombolyzed patients (cardiac and stroke—teleNeuro pending) , major trauma.
Shifts: Night 7pm-7am – all shifts are In-House, no home-call.
Night shift is covered by Nurse Practitioner with MD available for phone calls or procedures
Specialty Services:
General Surgery: including EGD and colonoscopy
Urology
Cardiology (M-F, inpatient cardiac stress tests but no catheterizations, Echocardiogram)
Podiatry
Radiology: simple IR guided procedures (thoracentesis, paracentesis, drainage placement/aspiration, Lumbar puncture) MRI available Mon-Friday
Orthopedics: Orthopedics has a robust Sports Medicine Fellowship that utilizes three Orthopedic fellows each academic year, available for consultation
EMR: Evident/CPSI.
Permanent:
Salary and Benefits Package: of $120,000-$135,000+ (Depending Upon Experience) with comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with Match, $2,500 CME with CME time off, PTO, $5,000 Signing Bonus and $5,000 relocation allowance is part of the package.
